BIOGRAPHY
Miss le bomb is the psuedonym of artist and musician Catriona Shaw born in Edinburgh, Scotland.
In 1999 she co-founded Club le Bomb with Emanuel Guenther and Benjamin Bergmann, an 'illegal' Sunday club where happenings and concerts were staged and with which they toured around Europe from 2000-2004. Club le Bomb was to become an outlet for outrageous and energetic 'underground' activities and an infamous hang-out for the lively creative types who would be regular participants in the unpredictable occurances. At the same time she commenced with another musical performance project with Isabel Reiss called "Hektor and Rositha", a parody of nightclub singers and nostalgia bands. She also enjoyed more mainstream success as lead singer of the pop covers project Queen of Japan. With the demise of Club le Bomb in 2004 she started to produce music as Miss le Bomb, regularly collaborating with Electronicat and forming a new band called "X and the Living End'. Word of her lively and rather unhinged performances, often involving unwitting audience participation, quickly spread and she has since been touring around Europe, performing in a variety of locations and releasing her music on diverse labels.

Shaw translates her personal observations about art, popular culture and the day-to-day into drawings, videos, and music. Her comic-like, disjointed narratives arise spontaneously, as though they were diary entries in response to her surroundings. Stories about life, death and vices, characters from the pop or art world and animals who play human roles reflect her socially critical but also humorous thoughts. Maintaining drawing as a core activity, she experiments with its implementation in diverse environments and processes.
